I Tried That

I tried these Sketchers Go Run Shoes for a month and this is what I thought.

I saw a commercial when I was at the gym a while ago for the Sketchers Go Run Shoes and I thought they looked like something I should try. So I went on Amazon and ordered a pair. Now I’m not sure what version they are on now, but I ordered the Go Run Consistent 2.0 Advantage. They seemed to have good ratings and the reviews were 91% either four or five star. There are a couple of other kinds of Sketchers Go Run including the Consistent 2.0 Endure sneaker. And the Go Run Elevate 2.0. They also have the Go Run Supersonic. And that is not all, there are other versions of each shoe as well, and they have more men’s shoes.

I chose the Go Run Consistent 2.0 Advantage because they seemed to be newer and the reviews were good. And at the time I thought I would rather have tie up shoes. But in hindsight I would look at the hands free next time. Elastic shoe strings actually might be nice! Anyway, they came next day and I wore them around the house for a day. I decided that I needed to return them and get the size 9 wide. I don’t have a wide foot, but need a wider toe box. And wide fit shoes are better than not if the toe box isn’t bigger than the rest of the shoe. So once Amazon processed my refund, I ordered the same kind but got the gray ones instead.

The weight of these shoes is what made them so great. The barely weigh anything. The box and both shoes plus packing was just under 1.5 lbs. They were easy to lace and get snug. And they had exceptionally good arch support. These shoes are very economical. And if you are looking for a decent inexpensive pair of running shoes I would recommend them.

After wearing them for a month, I can say they are a good shoe. My foot wasn’t sore after walking in these for 4 miles. After returning them, I didn’t get a toe pinch using the wide width. The memory foam and light-weight design are wonderful features. While I don’t think I will get as much mileage out of these as others, they are a good purchase. I will probably use these as my running around shoes after having put almost 100 miles on them this month.

They are cute with jeans. But as you can see, they look great with a good pair of leggings and a treadmill.

Overall, these shoes get a 4.5 out of 5 stars for me. They looked a little worse for wear after about a month of use. And the memory foam doesn’t seem to be as “bouncy” after a month’s use. But they still have some miles on them. So I will wear them out with my jeans when I run errands during the week.

These shoes are a win. Especially if you are young and don’t have as many foot issues as someone like me. And if you like to wear fun colored shoes. Because these come in many fun choices. They are lightweight as well as cushioned, making them very comfortable. These would be perfect for daily running around shoes for a long while.
