I Tried That

I tried this Amazon Essentials long sleeve t-shirt and I have now ordered 2 more for fall. I’ve been looking for some long sleeve t-shirts for the coming fall weather (wishful thinking at this point, but still – I’m ready for long sleeves). And since I don’t really need anything more than glorified active wear, these shirts really spoke to me when I was looking for some athleisure attire. Let me tell you why these shirts are great.

• The fit on these is normal – straight at the bottom, straight at the sleeve, and a crew neck. Not tight but not baggy. Exactly what I would want it to look like with a pair of jeans or a pair of leggings. Who am I kidding – I’m in leggings all day every day, lol.
• It is a cotton blend jersey material which gives a nice stretch. Good for a morning yoga class, or something of that nature. You can move in this shirt, you can twist and bend. Whether you wear it at the gym or just to the grocery store, you are guaranteed a comfy fit.
• Thumbholes! I’m not sure why, because most of the time I push the sleeves up to my elbows; but I love me a thumbhole in a long sleeve shirt. Just not when I’m actually working out, or even at the grocery store. Running to Homegoods or Marshalls or something like that – yes. Everything else – no. I know, I’m a weirdo.

Y’all, I bought the black in an XL (I’m normally a large, but I wasn’t sure on the fit so went up a size). And I love that this one is a little big, so I was happy with the first purchase. Since I loved it so much, and since they are LITERALLY $16.00…

I bought the light blue and the slate gray as well. But I did go ahead and get the large in the second two.

These shirts are on the thinner side, and they do have some give, so even if they fit a little more snug than you would like, they could be stretched enough that you wouldn’t even notice they are snug anymore. I’m not sure if that makes sense, but that’s ok.

Don’t take my word for it though. Get yourselves one (or three) of these long-sleeved t-shirts! You can’t beat the comfort, or the price!
